Gem Version Build Status

AwsKeys

Read the aws keys from ENV, yml file and ~/aws/credentials

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'aws-keys'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install aws-keys

Usage

Use environment variables

ENV["AWS_ACCESS_KEY"]="my_access_key"
ENV["AWS_SECRET_KEY"]="my_secret_key"

AwsKeys.load
=> {"aws_access_key"=>"my_access_key", "aws_secret_key"=>"my_secret_key"}

Use yml file

File: ~/.aws.yml

---
aws_access_key: my_access_key
aws_secret_key: my_secret_key
AwsKeys.load
=> {"aws_access_key"=>"my_access_key", "aws_secret_key"=>"my_secret_key"}

Use ini ~/aws/credentials file

File: ~/aws/credentials

[default]
aws_access_key = my_access_key
aws_secret_key = my_secret_key

[admin]
aws_access_key = admin_access_key
aws_secret_key = admin_secret_key
AwsKeys.load

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release to create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
