Sudo without password
Add the following to the sudoers file using sudo visudo on the server replacing rails with the user used to deploy the application.

rails ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/apt-get dist-upgrade
rails ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/apt-get install
