It provides you with an elegant DSL in Ruby for modeling your backups. Backup has built-in support for various databases, storage protocols/services, syncers, compressors, encryptors and notifiers which you can mix and match. It was built with modularity, extensibility and simplicity in mind.

This project is forked from backup/backup. Due to lack of help availiable we've hosted our own version on ruby-gems and will also maintain it on this repository. The existing documentation is already in a fantastic shape, we'll keep adding to it as needed.
