Remind is a calendar program with a real expression language behind it: a
Hebrew calendar, moon phases, sunrise and sunset, and date arithmetic that
knows about weekdays, holidays and OMITted days. All of it is C, and all of
it is reachable.
remind-rb builds Remind's own sources into a shared library and binds them
with Fiddle, so `moonphase(today())` and `sunrise('2027-06-21')` are Ruby
calls rather than a shell-out and a parse of the output. Dates come back as
Date objects, times as minutes, strings as strings.
The Remind sources are vendored beside the gem, so the library binds the
version it was built against rather than whatever is on the PATH.

Control a Raspberry Pi's hardware from Ruby. GPIO goes through libgpiod v2 — the Linux GPIO character device (uAPI v2) — rather than the deprecated sysfs interface. PWM is either the hardware peripheral through sysfs or timed in Ruby on any line; I2C and SPI are ioctl calls on /dev/i2c-N and /dev/spidev, needing no libgpiod at all. On top sits a gpiozero-style device layer: LED, Button, Motor, PWMLED, RGBLED, Servo, RotaryEncoder, and drivers for the ADT7410 temperature sensor, ST7032 character LCD, MCP3208 ADC, ILI9341 colour TFT and XPT2046 touch panel. Bound through the stdlib `fiddle`, which is built with the interpreter and so matches any Pi's architecture, unlike the precompiled `ffi` gem.

Ruby bindings for Shojiku, a document engine for invoices, receipts and
slips. A YAML template plus JSON or YAML params in, a deterministic PDF
out, with signing and verification over the result. The layout engine is a
shared C library loaded through fiddle, so the same params produce the same
bytes here as in the CLI and every other Shojiku SDK.
