Rails includes several bits of custom markup (such as the new "cattr_*" methods). This plugin for YARD adds support for this custom markup, which otherwise is parsed incorrectly.

You don't have to wait until Ruby 2.0 to get (named|keyword) arguments support. Arguments has been tested with Ruby 1.8.6 and ruby 1.9.1 and eventually will work with JRuby (if someone is interested in contributing, I guess is possible since merb-action-args works with JRuby)

Chimera is an object mapper for Riak and Redis. The idea is to mix the advantages of Riak (scalability, massive data storage) with Redis (atomicity, performance, data structures). You should store the bulk of your data in Riak, and then use Redis data structures where appropriate (for example, a counter or set of keys). Internally, Chimera uses Redis for any indexes you define as well as some default indexes that are automatically created. There's no built in sharding for Redis, but since it's only being used for key storage and basic data elements you should be able to go a long way with one Redis server (especially if you use the new Redis VM). !! Chimera is alpha. It's not production tested and needs a better test suite. !! !! It's also only tested in Ruby 1.9. !!

Continuous integration should really just be a script that captures the output of running your project update & test commands and presents recent results in a static html page. By keeping test reports in json, per-project CI configuration in 3 probably-one-line scripts, things are kept simple, quick, and super extensible. Want to use git, svn, or hg? No problem. Need to fire off results to Campfire? It's built-in. CI depends on cron.

This package is a library of methods that perform log rotation on files and directories. The log rotate methods allow the caller to specify options (via parameters) such as how many rotated files to keep, what type of extension to place on the rotated file (date or a simple count), and whether to zip the rotated files. Live log files (currently being written to by a live process) can be rotated as well. The post_rotate option is useful in that context, as it can be used to send a HUP signal to notify the live process to reopen its log file. This package was inspired by the need to have a library version of the unix logrotate tool. The unix logrotate tool requires the user to specify options in a config file, and is usually invoked through cron. Directories can be rotated with this library. However, the gzip option does not work with directories. In this case, please zip/tar the directory in question before invoking this library.
