LanguageTool::Widget

Gem Version

Integrate the LanguageTool Widget easily in your Rails application.

The version matches the widget's own version.

Installation

Install the gem and add to the application's Gemfile by executing:

bundle add languagetool-widget

Copy the fonts and images in your public directory by executing:

rails generate languagetool:install

Usage

In a Rails application, add the JavaScript and CSS.

Example in a SASS file

@import "languagetool/fonts"
@import "languagetool/styles"

Example with Sprockets

//= require languagetool

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.

Update

To update the assets, use the command rake "update[URL]"

rake "update[https://languagetool.org/standalone/download/languagetool-widget-8.3.4-20231130.zip]"
