quick_queue¶ ↑
quick_queue is a mix of Ruby’s Queue and drb to produce an extremely simple to use queue system in pure Ruby.
installation¶ ↑
Simple:
sudo gem install marcinbunsch-quick_queue
usage¶ ↑
Simpler:
To use the server, type qq in the console. That’s it.
To use the client, either use or extend the QuickQueue::Client class:
require 'quick_queue/client' client = QuickQueue::Client.new client.server_status => "Current queue status: queue is empty" client.push 'item' => 1 client.fetch => 'item'
