The mime-types library provides a library and registry for information about MIME content type definitions. It can be used to determine defined filename extensions for MIME types, or to use filename extensions to look up the likely MIME type definitions. Version 3.0 is a major release that requires Ruby 2.0 compatibility and removes deprecated functions. The columnar registry format introduced in 2.6 has been made the primary format; the registry data has been extracted from this library and put into [mime-types-data][data]. Additionally, mime-types is now licensed exclusively under the MIT licence and there is a code of conduct in effect. There are a number of other smaller changes described in the History file.

The minitar library is a pure-Ruby library that provides the ability to deal with POSIX tar(1) archive files. This is release 0.12. This is likely the last revision before 1.0. minitar (previously called Archive::Tar::Minitar) is based heavily on code originally written by Mauricio Julio Fernández Pradier for the rpa-base project.

Color is a Ruby library to provide RGB, CMYK, HSL, and other color space manipulation support to applications that require it. It provides optional named RGB colors that are commonly supported in HTML, SVG, and X11 applications. The Color library performs purely mathematical manipulation of the colors based on color theory without reference to device color profiles (such as sRGB or Adobe RGB). For most purposes, when working with RGB and HSL color spaces, this won't matter. Absolute color spaces (like CIE LAB and CIE XYZ) cannot be reliably converted to relative color spaces (like RGB) without color profiles. When necessary for conversions, Color provides D65 and D50 reference white values in Color::XYZ. Color 2.1 fixes a Color::XYZ bug where the values were improperly clamped and adds more Color::XYZ white points for standard illuminants. It builds on the Color 2.0 major release, dropping support for all versions of Ruby prior to 3.2 as well as removing or renaming a number of features. The main breaking changes are: - Color classes are immutable Data objects; they are no longer mutable. - RGB named colors are no longer loaded on gem startup, but must be required explicitly (this is _not_ done via `autoload` because there are more than 100 named colors with spelling variations) with `require "color/rgb/colors"`. - Color palettes have been removed. - `Color::CSS` and `Color::CSS#[]` have been removed.

Adds Minitest as the default testing library in Rails

Autotest relies on filesystem polling to detect modifications in source code files. This is expensive for the CPU, harddrive and battery - and unnecesary on Mac OS X 10.5 or higher which comes with the very efficient FSEvent core service for this very purpose. This gem teaches autotest how to use FSEvent.

Rails ActiveRecord connector for Google Spanner Database

This is a stub gem to fix the confusion caused by autotest being part of the ZenTest suite. In now points to minitest-autotest as that has been extracted and massively enhanced beyond the original ZenTest autotest.

This gem provides an easy interface to deploy andmanage a private gem server on Google Cloud Platform.

Cartage provides a repeatable means to create a package for a server-side application that can be used in deployment with a configuration tool like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt. The package is created with vendored dependencies so that it can be deployed in environments with strict access control rules and without requiring development tool presence on the target server(s). This is the last release of cartage. It's been a fun ride, but Docker-based images are our future at Kinetic Commerce. There is one feature that remains useful, the release-metadata output. We have created a new, more extensible format for which we will be creating a gem to manage this. One example of the implementation can be found at: https://github.com/KineticCafe/release-metadata-ts We will also be replacing `cartage-rack` with a new gem supporting this new format.

{Marlowe}[https://github.com/KineticCafe/marlowe] is a Rack middleware that extracts or creates a request ID using a pre-defined header, permitting request correlation across multiple services.
