This gem enables the use of database specific table locks when saving or destroying your ActiveRecord objects. This ensures no race conditions exist when using e.g. validates_uniqueness_of.

Lets any Rails app write real ActiveRecord::Migration subclasses against a virgodb manifest, picked up by `rails db:migrate` the same way SQLite migrations already are. Subclasses ActiveRecord::ConnectionAdapters::SQLite3Adapter (virgodb's manifest is already a real SQLite file), so structure_dump/the :sql schema format work for free.

DRY your controllers and make your API more predictable by defining responders for different formats. E.g. Posting an invalid resource in HTML should render a form with errors, while in JSON you expect serialized errors.

Stores each file on the disk of the node that received it. Any node can read, check or delete it: the service looks on its own disk first, then asks the other nodes. No database needed.

Enforce per-owner storage quotas in Rails applications. Provides an atomic reservation system so concurrent uploads across multiple processes cannot overshoot a quota, with usage accounted in O(1) rather than by summing blob sizes on every request.
