Recap::Console

Run rails (db)console commands via Recap

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'recap-console'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Usage

In your Capfile, require the library

# Capfile
# ...
require 'recap/tasks/rails/console'

Rails Consoles

Then, to open an interactive remote rails console,

$ cap rails:console

To open an interactive remote rails dbconsole,

$ cap rails:dbconsole

SSH

To open an interactive SSH console, run

$ cap ssh:console

To run an arbitrary shell command, run

# NOTE: the current directory is your recap project directory
$ cap ssh:command RUN="cat Gemfile"
