Binds protocol-smtp's state machine to an endpoint and runs it on the async reactor, one task per connection — what async-http is to protocol-http.

Abstractions are God. Let's give praise and build on the shoulders of giants by using objects to represent schemas. It was written and to it became.

NATS NKeys for Ruby, as a native extension over the Rust `nkeys` crate: Ed25519 keypairs across every key role, and the x25519 XKey sealing used by NATS auth callout. Named nkeys-rb because the plain `nkeys` gem name is taken by an unrelated pure-Ruby implementation.

The SMTP command/reply state machine (RFC 5321) and the message it assembles (RFC 5322), over any stream. No sockets and no concurrency: async-smtp binds this to an endpoint, the way async-http binds protocol-http.

Rem2ics turns the reminder files used by Remind into iCalendar, the format Outlook, Apple Calendar and Google Calendar import. It does not parse the reminder language. Remind does: rem2ics is built on the remind-rb bindings, so the trigger is parsed by ParseRem, the dates it fires on come from ComputeTrigger, and the message is rendered by DoSubst with its substitutions expanded. A recurring reminder becomes one event with an RRULE -- but only when the RRULE has been expanded and checked against the dates Remind gives; when the two disagree, as they do for a reminder that skips holidays, the event carries Remind's dates instead.

Remind is a calendar program with a real expression language behind it: a Hebrew calendar, moon phases, sunrise and sunset, and date arithmetic that knows about weekdays, holidays and OMITted days. All of it is C, and all of it is reachable. remind-rb builds Remind's own sources into a shared library and binds them with Fiddle, so `moonphase(today())` and `sunrise('2027-06-21')` are Ruby calls rather than a shell-out and a parse of the output. Dates come back as Date objects, times as minutes, strings as strings. The Remind sources are vendored beside the gem, so the library binds the version it was built against rather than whatever is on the PATH.

RemLint checks Remind reminder files for style, consistency and structure: unbalanced IF/ENDIF blocks, mistyped $SysVars, wrong argument counts, continuations that do not continue, and trailing whitespace that breaks rem2ps. Its vocabulary is transcribed from Remind's own dispatch tables, so keyword abbreviations and function arities match the interpreter exactly. It reads Remind out of shell heredocs as well as .rem files, and reports line numbers in the enclosing file.
