Workstation setup

Note: Currently setup only has been tested using a Linux(Ubuntu) environment with Firefox 3 or 3.5 browser installed

Note: Commands below need to take place in a terminal window

* build-essential package Installed

		sudo aptitude install build-essential

* Ruby 1.8 install

		sudo aptitude install ruby1.8-dev ruby1.8 ri1.8 rdoc1.8 irb1.8 libreadline-ruby1.8 libruby1.8 libopenssl-ruby

* RubyGems Install (Note: Installing RubyGems above will install rake on machine)
		
		download rubygems-1.3.*.tgz from rubyforge.com (search for rubygems and then find version download)

		tar xvzf rubygems-1.3.2.tgz
		cd rubygems-1.3.2
		sudo ln \-s /usr/bin/ruby1.8 /usr/local/bin/ruby
		sudo ruby setup.rb
		sudo ln \-s /usr/bin/gem1.8 /usr/local/bin/gem
		sudo ln \-s /usr/bin/rdoc1.8 /usr/local/bin/rdoc
		sudo ln \-s /usr/bin/ri1.8 /usr/local/bin/ri
		sudo ln \-s /usr/bin/irb1.8 /usr/local/bin/irb

* Ruby on Rails Install

		sudo gem install rails \--no-rdoc \--no-ri

* Rspec Install

		sudo gem install rspec -v 1.2.9

* Postgres Install (needed if tests that use postgres db)

		sudo apt-get install libpq-dev
		sudo gem install postgres

* RubyZip Install (needed if tests need to zip directories on machine)

		sudo gem install rubyzip

* Highline Install (needed for running smoke tests (to hide credentials for login))

		sudo gem install highline
