SimplenoteRuby

Ruby library to interact with Simplenote just like Python library simplenote.py.

Install via gem:

$ gem install simplenote_ruby

First of all, authenticate user and create simplenote object.

import 'simplenote_ruby'
user = "foo@example.com"
password = "abcdef"
sn = Simplenote.new(user, password)

Get all notes:

index = sn.get_index
index.each do |item|
  note = sn.get_note(item["id"])
  puts "key: #{note["key"]}"
  puts "#{note["content"]}" if note.key?("content")
end

Update note:

note["content"] = "Test. Test."
sn.update_note(note)

Create note from text:

sn.create_note("New_note. Test. Test.")

Trash note:

sn.trash_note(note)

Delete note:

sn.delete_note(note)

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
