This pure Ruby library can read and write PNG images without depending on an external image library, like RMagick. It tries to be memory efficient and reasonably fast. It supports reading and writing all PNG variants that are defined in the specification, with one limitation: only 8-bit color depth is supported. It supports all transparency, interlacing and filtering options the PNG specifications allows. It can also read and write textual metadata from PNG files. Low-level read/write access to PNG chunks is also possible. This library supports simple drawing on the image canvas and simple operations like alpha composition and cropping. Finally, it can import from and export to RMagick for interoperability. Also, have a look at OilyPNG at https://github.com/wvanbergen/oily_png. OilyPNG is a drop in mixin module that implements some of the ChunkyPNG algorithms in C, which provides a massive speed boost to encoding and decoding.

RubyTree is a Ruby implementation of the generic tree data structure. It provides simple APIs to store named nodes, and to access, modify, and traverse the tree. The data model is node-centric, where nodes in the tree are the primary structural elements. It supports all common tree-traversal methods (pre-order, post-order, and breadth first). RubyTree mixes in the Enumerable and Comparable modules and behaves like a standard Ruby collection (iteration, comparison, etc.). RubyTree also includes a binary tree implementation, which provides in-order node traversal besides the other methods. RubyTree can import from and export to JSON, and supports Ruby’s object marshaling.

BibTeX-Ruby is the Rubyist's swiss-army-knife for all things BibTeX. It includes a parser for all common BibTeX objects (@string, @preamble, @comment and regular entries) and a sophisticated name parser that tokenizes correctly formatted names; BibTeX-Ruby recognizes BibTeX string replacements, joins values containing multiple strings or variables, supports cross-references, and decodes common LaTeX formatting instructions to unicode; if you are in a hurry, it also allows for easy export/conversion to formats such as YAML, JSON, CSL, and XML (BibTeXML).

GRATR is a framework for graph data structures and algorithms. This library is a fork of RGL. This version utilizes Ruby blocks and duck typing to greatly simplfy the code. It also supports export to DOT format for display as graphics. GRATR currently contains a core set of algorithm patterns: * Breadth First Search * Depth First Search * A* Search * Floyd-Warshall * Best First Search * Djikstra's Algorithm * Lexicographic Search The algorithm patterns by themselves do not compute any meaningful quantities over graphs, they are merely building blocks for constructing graph algorithms. The graph algorithms in GRATR currently include: * Topological Sort * Strongly Connected Components * Transitive Closure * Rural Chinese Postman * Biconnected

ontoMDE-uml2 contains UML2 meta-model and helper files to manipulate a UML2 model. ontoMDE-uml2 uses ontoMDE-core which provides core fonctionalities for loading a model in RDF/RDFS format. ontoMDE-UML2 is used by ontoMDE-java which contains rules for generating java Code. ontoMDE contains primitives for converting a UML2 model into a Protégé 2000 RDF/RDFS model. UML2 classes are converted into RDFS classes to allow data instances to be created. This feature is used heavily for providing editors for creating tests data for programs. == FEATURES/PROBLEMS: * UML2 meta-model definition in RDFS format * Ruby helper methods for handling a UML2 model. * UML Stereotype handling helpers. * UML predefined enumerations handling helper. * UML model manipulations helpers (add interface implementations, transform multiple inheritance into single inheritance, ...) UML2 to Protege 2000 features: * single and incremental use. * transparent update of name changes from source to target mode. * class * abstract class * interface * enumerated types * generalization links * implementation links * property, association, composition and aggregation * single and multivalued properties * mandatory fields (cardinaly=0 or >0) * UML documentation notes export to Protege 2000 for easy reference.

Modulation provides an alternative way of organizing your Ruby code. Modulation lets you explicitly import and export declarations in order to better control dependencies in your codebase. Modulation helps you refrain from littering the global namespace with a myriad modules, or complex multi-level nested module hierarchies.

A Rails grid plugin to create grids with sorting, pagination, and filters generated automatically based on column types. The contents of the cell are up for the developer, just like one does when rendering a collection via a simple table. WiceGrid automates implementation of filters, ordering, paginations, CSV export, and so on. Ruby blocks provide an elegant means for this.
